E.ON UK

With more than €49 billion in sales and roughly 70,000 employees, E.ON is the world’s largest investor-owned energy service provider. E.ON is a company with a clear focus and premiere positions in its core businesses of electricity and gas.

E.ON UK, the company that runs Powergen, operates a portfolio of power stations including 13 CHP sites, 20 wind farms, 2 hydro-power stations and 10 coal/gas power stations.

E.ON choose Merge Media

During 2005 E.ON UK were looking to replace their existing induction system with a solution that offered a more common approach and was more flexible and cost-effective to operate. Merge Media’s Novus system was selected as it provided full edit capabilities for content, comprehensive audit reporting and could operate in a web environment. The ability to integrate with E.ON’s in-house systems and the option to host mass induction were also important.

Novus has been fully operational for over 2 years and currently has over 15,000 people registered for use. E.ON continue to work with Merge Media to maintain the software to suit their ever-changing business needs.
